The Mine Factory was founded in 2013 to provide catalytic support for the emerging artist community in Pittsburgh, PA. In its short run, it has become a vital part of the regional art scene – sponsoring and hosting over 30 exhibitions in conjunction with area artist associations, non-profit cultural groups, and individual curators such as Jeffrey Jarzynka, who will be representing The Mine Factory at Aqua Art Miami.
Today, The Mine Factory remains true to its mission by promoting Pittsburgh Arts to outside communities. Unlike a brick and mortar gallery, The Mine Factory believes in exploring more non-traditional ways in which to aid in the continued growth of Pittsburgh's artistic landscape.
Jeffrey Jarzynka is a Pittsburgh-based Art Consultant/Curator/Dealer who is transcending the traditional brick and mortar gallery model, and advancing the Pittsburgh art scene through his pop-up art exhibition series "…Presented by Jeffrey Jarzynka" which was recognized as one of the Top 10 Art And Technology Projects Of The Year by the CREATE FESTIVAL 2016. He has continued presenting unique events, which have branched into musical and artistic performances, and is planning much more for 2018.
Jarzynka has curated and juried multiple exhibitions, and acts as art consultant for corporate, hotel/hospitality, and residential projects. Additionally, he advises and assists individual clients with their personal art collections.
A former board member of the Brew House Association, Jarzynka's efforts on the Communications and Building Committees supported the multi-million dollar redevelopment of the Art Association's historic facility. Currently, he is member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh's Board of Directors
